“The Government of Israel authorized arms sales to the Islamic Republic of Iran after the United States imposed an arms embargo on Iran.”

Official records establish that Israeli authorities authorized arms transfers to Iran after the United States imposed its embargo in 1979-1980. Documented episodes include transactions in 1981 and Israeli-approved TOW missile transfers in 1985. U.S. approval or participation in some deals does not alter the fact that the Israeli government also authorized them.

“United States forces struck Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island on August 30, 2026.”

Multiple major outlets and U.S. Central Command confirm that U.S. forces struck Larak Island on August 30, while Iranian sources acknowledge the attack. Reports consistently identify the targets as Iranian rocket launchers, but that detail currently rests mainly on U.S. official accounts and lacks independent physical verification because the event remains recent.

“The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was destroyed by an Iranian missile strike in 2026.”

The Burj Khalifa remained intact and was not confirmed hit by an Iranian missile. Although Iranian attacks caused damage elsewhere in the UAE in 2026 and the tower was reportedly evacuated as a precaution, official accounts and independent reporting do not document its destruction. Widely circulated imagery purporting to show the building burning or under attack was identified as fabricated or misrepresented.

“Regime-aligned media channels released imagery that appears to show a destroyed aircraft shelter at Al-Salti Air Base in Jordan after a recent Iranian strike.”

Independent reporting confirms that Iranian state and IRGC-aligned media circulated imagery said to show a destroyed or damaged hangar at Muwaffaq Al-Salti Air Base after the strike. The claim is about what those channels published, not whether the damage was independently verified. Minor wording differences such as “hangar” versus “aircraft shelter” do not materially change the substance.

“Iran is transferring military equipment near the Iran–Kuwait border.”

The available evidence does not show Iran transferring military equipment near an Iran-Kuwait border. Reliable reports describe Iranian strikes on Kuwait and military movements near Iran’s border with Iraq or Iraqi Kurdish areas, which are different claims. The geographic framing is also flawed, since Iran and Kuwait do not share the land border implied by the wording.

“The United States conducted strikes on Iran for 10 consecutive nights.”

The evidence shows a sustained U.S. strike campaign against Iran, including multiple confirmed consecutive nights of attacks. But no credible source in the record confirms that the strikes continued for 10 consecutive nights, and the closest cited reporting refers to a ninth consecutive day, which is not the same thing. The claim overstates the verified count.

“The government of Israel has stated that it is preparing for war with Iran, Turkey, Egypt, and Syria.”

The evidence shows official Israeli war-readiness statements focused on Iran, not a declared four-country posture. Some reporting describes northern-front preparations involving Syria and contingency discussion about Turkey, but credible sources do not show the government stating it is preparing for war with Turkey or Egypt. Egypt, especially, rests on speculative commentary rather than official policy.

“The US military seized an Iranian ship in the Strait of Hormuz.”

US military forces did seize an Iranian-flagged cargo ship, the Touska, in an operation tied to the Strait of Hormuz blockade — a fact confirmed by AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, CNN, Al Jazeera, and official CENTCOM footage. The only caveat is geographic: most reporting places the actual seizure in adjacent waters (Gulf of Oman/North Arabian Sea) rather than strictly inside the strait, though several major outlets use 'in the Strait of Hormuz' framing.

“A United States MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down over Ahvaz, Iran.”

The claim is not supported by the available evidence. Multiple sources discuss Iranian claims of downed U.S. MQ-9 drones, but they place those incidents in other parts of Iran or over nearby waters, not over Ahvaz. No credible source in the record documents an Ahvaz shootdown, and some supporting media around similar claims have reliability problems or misidentified wreckage.

“On July 19, 2026, the Jordanian Armed Forces said its forces shot down three Iranian missiles and that a fourth Iranian missile fell in a remote area of Jordan, with no casualties or material damage reported.”

Evidence from Reuters and multiple outlets citing Jordanian official statements supports that the Jordanian Armed Forces made this specific statement on July 19, 2026. Other reports later cited higher interception totals, indicating the military account evolved during the day, but that does not negate the documented three-down, one-fell statement.

“Funds released under U.S. Department of the Treasury sanctions relief for Iran are deposited into a U.S.-controlled escrow account.”

The evidence does not support the existence of a current U.S.-controlled escrow account for Iran sanctions-relief funds. Treasury/OFAC materials and recent legal analysis indicate that the cited 2026 relief does not require escrow, and historically restricted funds were typically held at foreign banks, not in U.S.-controlled accounts. The claim appears to rely on political statements, not binding Treasury rules.

“Iranian authorities sentenced singer Parastoo Ahmadi to 74 lashes for performing without a hijab during an online concert.”

Reliable, independent reporting supports that Parastoo Ahmadi received a 74-lash court sentence tied to a performance released online in which she appeared without a hijab. The main caveats are that reports describe a first-instance ruling that may be appealed, and some accounts characterize the event as a recorded concert posted online rather than a live stream.

“The United States military intentionally conducted a missile strike on a school in Iran.”

Available evidence shows a U.S. missile hit an Iranian school, but not that the school was intentionally targeted. The most credible reporting describes a targeting error driven by outdated or mistaken intelligence, not a deliberate decision to strike a school as such. The claim fails on its central intent element.

“Donald Trump claimed that there was progress toward nuclear talks with Iran.”

Multiple independent reports directly quote Trump describing Iran nuclear diplomacy as making “good progress” or “going well.” That supports the claim that he said progress was being made. The larger negotiations remained unstable and unresolved, but that does not change the fact that he publicly characterized them as advancing.

“Pete Hegseth was responsible for the bombing of a school in Iran that killed 100 children.”

Reliable reporting indicates a likely U.S. strike killed roughly 100 or more children, but it does not show that Pete Hegseth personally ordered, directed, or was individually responsible for the bombing. He is being pressed for accountability as defense secretary, yet that is not the same as proof of personal culpability. The claim goes beyond the available evidence.

“Under an emerging agreement involving Oman and Iran, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened without restrictions.”

The claim is not supported by the evidence. Available reporting describes conditional negotiations and draft traffic-management arrangements, not a concluded Oman-Iran deal to open the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions. References to no tolls or to administrative requirements that are said not to be restrictive do not amount to proof of unrestricted passage.

“Oman and Iran are attempting to establish a joint management and fee-collection system for commercial shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz.”

Evidence shows Oman and Iran have opened formal talks on jointly managing navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and examining charges tied to maritime services. But the reporting does not establish a plan to levy general transit tolls on all commercial ships. What is confirmed is a working group and discussions over service-related costs, not a defined or implemented fee-collection regime for all transiting traffic.

“The government of Oman is helping Iran evade international sanctions.”

The evidence does not support the claim as stated. Official U.S. sanctions and enforcement sources document Iranian evasion networks but do not identify the Omani government or Omani state entities as participants. The main contrary items are opinion or secondhand reports about diplomatic pressure and proposed maritime arrangements, which fall short of proving active government help in evading sanctions.

“United States sanctions lists do not designate the Government of Oman for Iran sanctions evasion.”

Official U.S. sanctions records do not show the Government of Oman designated for Iran sanctions evasion. Treasury, State, and DOJ materials identify sanctions on specific people, firms, vessels, and networks, including some Oman-linked entities, but not Oman’s government. Reports about warnings or possible future penalties are not the same as a formal listing.

“The United States warned Oman against facilitating Iranian ship tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.”

The evidence supports that Washington warned Oman not to help Iran impose Hormuz transit fees. A State Department transcript quotes Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent saying he told the Omani ambassador such facilitation was a “non-starter” and could trigger sanctions. The main caveat is wording: the issue was a proposed tolling or transit-fee scheme, not an established toll system.
