How credits work

Fast check/assess1 credit
A panel of models weighs the claim and returns a verdict with a confidence score. No sources.
Verification/verify10 credits per claim
Independent sources are searched and retrieved, each quote is checked against the page it came from, both sides of the claim are argued, and the verdict ships with its citations and reasoning. API callers can go cheaper and faster: depth: "low" is the same verification with less source research and a shorter debate — back sooner, for 5 credits.
Follow-up/ask1 credit
A question about a finished verification, answered from its evidence.
Extraction/extractfree
Lists the checkable claims in a text; checks nothing. Up to 1,000 a day per account, shared across your API keys, resetting at midnight UTC.

Do unused credits carry over? No. Your monthly credits refresh every month — on annual plans too, where the billing is yearly but the allowance is monthly — and unused ones do not roll forward. Signup and referral grants are separate: they never expire, and they are spent after the monthly allowance runs out.

What happens when I run out? A request is declined when your remaining balance cannot cover its cost, so a verification stops while cheaper calls may still run. There is no automatic overage charge. Extraction keeps working inside its daily cap. Check what is left on your usage page.
