2 verifications about Australian Army Australian Army ×

True 9/10
“Military historian Sir Basil Liddell Hart argued that relentless pressure applied by Australian forces forced Erwin Rommel to commit valuable reserves against them, weakening Axis defenses elsewhere.”
Reliable military-history sourcing supports the attribution. The best evidence directly reports that Liddell Hart argued Australian pressure compelled Rommel to use valuable reserves against them, reducing Axis strength in other sectors. The main caveat is that the support is presented chiefly through a secondary paraphrase rather than a verbatim primary quotation.

Mostly True 8/10
“The Australian Army’s acquisition of the Boeing AH-64E Apache has increased Australia’s combat readiness for high-intensity operations in the Indo-Pacific region.”
The evidence shows a real but partial readiness gain. Official Australian and U.S. defence sources confirm aircraft deliveries, first flights, live-fire events, and the transition from the less reliable Tiger fleet, all of which improve Army aviation capability. The claim slightly overstates the current state because the Apache force is still being built and has not yet reached full operational capability for broad regional high-intensity operations.
