Mostly False 4/10
“The Mae Nak Phra Khanong legend originated in the Phra Khanong canal area of Bangkok in the mid-19th century (around the 1850s–1860s), during the reign of King Mongkut (Rama IV).”
The claim gets the place right but likely gets the historical timing wrong. Evidence consistently ties Mae Nak to the Phra Khanong canal area, yet the better-supported historical accounts place the underlying incident in the late reign of Rama III, not in the 1850s–1860s under Rama IV. Because the date and reign are central to the claim, this is more than a minor caveat.

“In Thai folklore about Mae Nak Phra Khanong, Somdej Toh is credited with subduing Mae Nak's spirit by removing a piece of bone from her forehead and making it into a sacred amulet.”
The evidence strongly supports this as a standard version of the Mae Nak legend. Thai folklore sources widely credit Somdej Toh with subduing Mae Nak by taking a piece of forehead bone and turning it into a sacred amulet. Some versions tell the story differently, but that does not materially change the core folkloric attribution.

True 10/10
“The Mae Nak Phra Khanong legend is associated with Wat Mahabut in Bangkok, Thailand.”
The evidence clearly supports the temple association. Multiple reliable sources identify Wat Mahabut in Bangkok as the shrine site and principal religious location tied to the Mae Nak Phra Khanong legend. Administrative district wording can vary, but it does not alter the core fact that the legend is associated with Wat Mahabut.
