“U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi asked a federal judge in New York to deny the appointment of a special master to monitor the release of the "Epstein files."”
Reporting from Reuters and other outlets shows the Justice Department asked a New York federal judge to reject a request for a special master over the Epstein files, and Pam Bondi was a signatory to that filing. The key caveat is that the request was made jointly with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, not by Bondi alone. That does not alter the substance of the claim.

“A subpoena issued by the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on August 5, 2025 required U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce documents by August 19, 2025.”
Official House records directly support the claim. The August 5, 2025 subpoena required Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce documents by August 19, 2025, and later committee correspondence and news reports are consistent with that timeline. Confusion mainly arises because some later reports discuss a separate 2026 testimony subpoena.
