“Pop art emerged as artists responded to the rise of consumer society and dissatisfaction with the dominance of Abstract Expressionism by deliberately using new subjects and techniques to critique and question their era.”

The claim captures the main historical story. Reliable art-historical sources describe Pop Art as emerging amid consumer culture and in reaction against the dominance and subjectivity of Abstract Expressionism, using mass-media imagery and new techniques. The main caveat is that Pop Art was not uniformly a critique; its stance toward consumer society was often ambivalent, ironic, or partly celebratory.

“The full name of the art term "pop art" is "popular art".”

The evidence does not support "popular art" as the full name of "pop art." Standard art-historical and dictionary sources describe the term as referring to art drawing on popular culture, but they do not treat it as an official expansion of the phrase. A few weaker blog-style sources use that wording loosely, which is not enough to establish the claim.
