2 verifications about Octavian Octavian ×

True 9/10
“After the Battle of Actium, Octavian invaded Egypt in 30 BC and annexed Egypt as a Roman province, ending the rule of Cleopatra VII Philopator.”
The historical record strongly supports this account. After Actium, Octavian campaigned in Egypt in 30 BC, took Alexandria, and Cleopatra VII’s rule ended that year as Egypt passed into Roman control. The main caveat is administrative: Egypt became an unusually governed Roman province under Octavian’s personal authority, not a typical senatorial province.

Mostly True 8/10
“At the Battle of Actium, Octavian's forces were commanded by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa.”
The evidence strongly supports that Agrippa commanded Octavian’s fleet and was central to the victory at Actium. The wording is somewhat too broad, because Octavian retained overall authority and other commanders handled additional forces. A more precise version would say Agrippa commanded Octavian’s naval forces at Actium.
